Our Approach

We offer traditional powerlifting gym with a twist. Those who have power lifted before typically just want/need a place to workout, we can accommodate to that. However we believe that offering a “class”, that has a the programming already designed for a powerlifter for that week, our coaching, and explain the method and reasons behind the movements, makes for a perfect day. As a member you just need to show up with your gear and be ready to get a good workout in. The programming is given to the members on Sunday evening, so those who are traveling or need to go to the gym earlier than when the class is operating, they can still get in their workout. We have worked with many members to get them started in powerlifting for the first time, to members who have been dealing with an injury from another sport where they just need to have a less intensive atmosphere and still get a good sweat on.

Our Story

This is our passion, we have “day” jobs and only wish to share our love of powerlifting and fitness to those who want to engage with us on our journey.

Meet the Team

We are a husband and wife team, we have a passion for fitness and activity. We have been involved in many different aspects of the fitness world and we are now applying our training, experience and love of fitness into our powerlifting gym.

Tricia Fiacco

Owner & CEO

RPR Cert L1 and L2, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) / CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2) / Gymnastics Certificate / Conjugate Methods Certificate / CrossFit Mobility Certificate / 2014 North East CrossFit Games Media Team Volunteer / 2016 So-Cal CrossFit Games Media Team Volunteer / 2017 South Central Region CrossFit Games Media Team Volunteer / Mom
Tricia was very active years ago, but fell off the wagon after a motorcycle accident in 2002, leaving her to recover from multiple fractures and dealing with the permanent internal steel plates/screws.
She joined CrossFit in Feb. 2013, was initially afraid to jump and jumping up on a 12″ box scared the crap out of her. Her right arm was much weaker than the left and she had an uphill battle with strength training due to her accident. After a month of CrossFit, she was hooked. Now she jumps on the 20″ boxes and does pull-ups as well as handstand push-ups. She has lost weight with the Paleo challenges and her orthopedic doctor shakes his head in amazement when he hears what she has been able to do.
She is truly an inspiration to the community for overcoming her injuries from the motorcycle accident, being a mom, working full time, and making the time to get fit.

Phil had been very active but life settled in and his fitness/eating suffered. His last “fitness” endeavor was All Natural body building in 2001, placing 1st in Rochester and 3rd in Buffalo. Fast forward to November 2013: Phil’s blood pressure was pre-hypertensive, he had elevated cholesterol levels and was overweight. He began CrossFit in Feb. 2013 and has never looked back. He has participated in a few Paleo challenges and Phil is no longer pre-hypertensive, his cholesterol is perfect and he weight is spot on! Phil is excited to have an opportunity to make a difference for people at such a vital turning point in their fitness level. He looks forward to working with new bootcamp clients. His positive energy is contagious.
